When you create your schematic, make sure that it reflects a proper signal flow so it can be read and interpreted easily and without too many unnecessary questions, It also helps to obtain an optimal placement of the components and thus a better layout. For large digital projects, it is not advisable to use one page for each of its major components. It does not promote the big picture.
You can ease the layout process by putting marks, notes and constraints into the Schematic and group the components for a specific circuits in one block. It will be transfered into the PCB layout tool and contributes to efficient and rapid component placement.
